WALT DISNEY CONCERT HALL

The Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles, California is the fourth hall of the Los Angeles Music Center and was designed by Frank Gehry. The 2,265 seat Concert Hall opened on October 24, 2003.

In 1999, Dimic Steel Tech was chosen to fabricate the exquisite stainless steel exterior panels at their Upland, California plant. Over 800 unique panels were laser cut, formed, and shipped within a precise delivery schedule. Dimic also fabricated the six skylight structures installed into the roof. Its sleek curves and intricate structural patterns are unmatched by any other concert hall in the world. Disney Hall possesses a caliber and an architectural merit that has attracted tourists and attention from around the globe. Dimic Steel Tech is proud to have been a key provider for this project.

LONG BEACH PYRAMID

The Pyramid, is a 5,000-seat, indoor multi-purpose arena on the campus of Long Beach State University in Long Beach, California.

The arena officially opened on November 30, 1994. In 1992, Dimic Steel Tech was chosen to fabricate the inner Geodesic dome structure at their Upland, California plant. By using complex fabrication methods, DST was able to hold tight tolerance for every weldment made. Each weldment was then shipped to the jobsite where the entire structure was bolted together from the ground floor to a height of over 18 stories. Dimic Steel Tech’s success was proven as the final bolt was a perfect fit in the crowning cap of the structure. The Walter Pyramid is one of only three true pyramid buildings in the United States with each side of the perimeter measuring 345 feet.

STAPLES CENTER

Staples Center is a 20,000 seat, multi-purpose sports arena in Downtown Los Angeles, California.

The arena officially opened on October 17, 1999 and is one of the major sporting facilities in the greater Los Angeles Area. In 1997, Dimic Steel Tech was chosen to fabricate the exposed steel structures that hold the glass facade in the four lobbies of the main building. All structures were fabricated and welded at their Upland, California plant then shipped to Los Angeles on custom trailers for on-site assembly. This project included over 60 different weldments with weights up to 4 tons and was accomplished within a one year time frame. Dimic’s metal work is clearly exposed and visible from both the interior and exterior views of this World Famous Venue.

From large weldments and assemblies to parts smaller than a dime, we are committed to consistent quality and customer satisfaction.
