LONG BEACH PYRAMID
The Pyramid, is a 5,000-seat, indoor multi-purpose arena on the campus of Long Beach State University in Long Beach, California.
The arena officially opened on November 30, 1994. In 1992, Dimic Steel Tech was chosen to fabricate the inner Geodesic dome structure at their Upland, California plant. By using complex fabrication methods, DST was able to hold tight tolerance for every weldment made. Each weldment was then shipped to the jobsite where the entire structure was bolted together from the ground floor to a height of over 18 stories. Dimic Steel Tech’s success was proven as the final bolt was a perfect fit in the crowning cap of the structure. The Walter Pyramid is one of only three true pyramid buildings in the United States with each side of the perimeter measuring 345 feet.
Staples Center is a 20,000 seat, multi-purpose sports arena in Downtown Los Angeles, California.

All structures were fabricated and welded at their Upland, California plant then shipped to Los Angeles on custom trailers for on-site assembly. This project included over 60 different weldments with weights up to 4 tons and was accomplished within a one year time frame. Dimic’s metal work is clearly exposed and visible from both the interior and exterior views of this World Famous Venue.
